One of the things I love about haute mode is its glamour and the Fall Balmain show was not short of it!

Last season we saw proto-punk influences but this Fall it's all about glam rock. Admittedly, I've been looking forward to this collection, especially since Emmanuelle Alt resigned and Decarnin hired stylist, Melanie Ward.

The 39-piece collection highlighted metallic leather suits in blue and gold, cuffed pants worn above lace up boots, dramatic fur or crystal-encrusted shoulders, tuxedo shirts and hand-embroidered with mosaics of mirrors and ribbons mini dresses. Even though Decarnin was unable to attend the show, I think the collection stayed true to its aesthetics and because of that I was not disappointed ♥

The "Baggage" collection will feature quality leather handbags, backpacks, clutches and crossbody pouches all with fringe details. I love everything about this collection and the fringes makes it so much more unique plus goes well with their new fringe platforms coming out later this year!! Visited my friends at the Jeffrey Campbell booth earlier and saw their Spring/Summer collection! It was like a shoe frenzy there... shoes everywhere, people trying on shoes from left to right and the experience was unbelievable!! I can only take pics of the shoes shown above but all I can say is for next season expect the infamous Lita to be reinvented... as in the gorgeous shade of mustard yellow, weaved fabric and curved heel.

Also have some exciting news to share with you guys tomorrow which not many people know about but Jeffrey Campbell was nice enough to fill me in so stay tuned ♥

Finally, it's that time again and I'm going to attend Magic in Vegas next week! Amongst all the tradeshows I've attended, I favor Magic because it's fun, has exciting brands and I get to see what's new for next season before it hits stores! No worries I'm planning to take pics and keep you guys posted. Registration can be strict but worth it if you want to network with local and global brands.

Although it is no surprise that the social media has gained its reputation for the past years and that bloggers influences what consumers buy, what I find interesting are that tradeshows are now taking notice! This year Magic has partnered with Teen Vogue and for the first time, created a Blogger Lounge featuring 30 fashion writers and bloggers. Last Spring Isabel Marant's theme was boho chic and this year it was inspired by her first recent trip to California. Loving our laid back attitude, her collection "was an ode to surfing and the early days of skateboarding".

Anna Selezneva looked stunning opening the show wearing an embroidered varsity jacket, lacy tank, preppy belted trousers and pointy-toe pumps. As I am looking at the collection, I cannot help but to think back to my school memories since I still have my varsity jacket stored away somewhere ♥

Anyone who's into fashion knows about H&M but did you know they are opening their largest store EVER at the Forum Shops in Vegas? I know, right!

When it comes to shoes, my staple pieces are metallics and platform sandals. I favor metallics because of its fresh, neutral color while platform sandals adds a bit of sex appeal.

Bf and I went to the mall in Vegas yesterday and I bought a new navy blazer from Zara. I instantly fell in love with the ruched shoulders and sleeves similar to Burberry S10. I also ordered these sexy SM platform sandals in brown after trying them on and bf loved it. Here's the Q&A:

WHAT IS YOUR JOB?
Branding, marketing, developing creative projects for companies, manufacturing products in foreign countries, etc.. I am also an entrepreneur. My job can be tough because I do a lot of tasks but the results are rewarding and I love taking risks and challenges! Sometimes I think it's not what you know but who you know.

WHAT MAKES YOU RELAX?
Warm California weather, a glass of red wine, bike riding on the pier in San Francisco even though I don't like exercise, painting my nails, being with my family & bf, traveling & shopping, eating good food, drive while listening to my cds, doing Yoga, seeing and learning new things, etc..

HOW DO YOU TRACK DOWN YOUR FANTASTIC VTG FINDS?
I like to think I have an eye for my finds but it takes me time to find that unique piece and sometimes it is not easy. I normally buy vintage on Ebay, here are my tips:

♥ Know exactly what you are looking for or you might get lost looking through loads of rubbish! Also make sure to use specific keywords when searching. (brand, color, size, etc..)
♥ Check and know your measurements! This will make sure the item fits you.
♥ Research, shop around, keep your options open and be patient. I try not to put all my eggs in one basket :)
♥ Don't be afraid to speak up or negotiate... if there is a small stain or missing button, use it to your advantage!
♥ Make sure the color is right... sometimes sellers use flash to take pics and it distorts its true color. This one is probably my main worry since I wear color.

WHY DID YOU START A BLOG?
I started a fashion blog because I was fascinated, it looked much fun but mostly to share a portfolio of my past and future outfits so I can look back on what I wore. Blogging is one of my hobbies and I'll probably stop when I get bored.

WHERE DO YOU GET THE PICS?
Bf takes all my outfit pics as we live together and the background is the neighborhood we live in.

HOW DO YOU STAY IN SHAPE?
I get this query a lot even while I was traveling abroad! I don't exercise so eating healthy is important. Genetically, I have a fast metabolism and small frame.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVE CHAIN STORE?
My favorite chain clothing stores are Zara, Topshop, H&M, River Island, UO, Saks, etc..

WHAT ARE THE COLLECTIONS THAT INSPIRE YOU OR HAVE IN THE PAST?

My favorite designer is Chloè but I am specific about the cut and shape of garments. I follow trends that work with my body shape and personality so it's not enough that it is a brand name. In the past I have liked DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Rock & Republic, etc..

One of my fave ~~style~~ fashion icons is Kate Moss.

I love how she is down-to-earth despite her celebrity status and wears what is comfortable not bc it's on trend. For example, I will be surprised to see her wear clogs! She loves to mix vintage with couture pieces and never tries too hard. (My fave pic is where she has a fag in her mouth, a bloody mary in one hand totally caught off guard by the photographer, love it!!)

Aside from fashion, I also think she is a smart business woman. Obviously she is a designer for Topshop but in recent revealed her collaboration with luxury handbag company, Longchamp. Kate has come a long way, despite her past or bad press, and I have nothing but respect for her ♥

Like a lot of girls, I love Chanel handbags but the truth is not everyone can afford one. For example, a brand new classic flap bag can pay for a secondhand car, months of bills or a weekend getaway. So is it worth the buy or would you consider a counterfeit?

Before you answer that query, let's look into the matter a bit. In the States, and other parts of the world, selling counterfeits is a crime but buying isn't. However, buying a counterfeit means you are supporting a crime.

Since selling counterfeits is a crime, why would it still be in business? Because there is a demand for it and when there is a demand there is also supply. Millions of people around the world are buying counterfeits because it is the cheaper alternative. It is accessible in major cities and the world-wide web. Each time I look up Chanel bags on Ebay, 95% of the time I see counterfeits.

The demand for it is clear and one of its major suppliers is China. There are millions if not thousands of sweat factories in China producing counterfeits while using the cheapest labor possible, children.

Maybe some people do not care about supporting a crime or child labor, but in 1993 the U.S. government found evidence that the World Trade Center bombing was linked to counterfeit bags. The trillion dollar industry helped fund for the bombing attack which was initiated by terrorists, and presently affects our ever-changing security.

My opinion: Some people might not like to talk about it but the fact is selling or buying counterfeits supports crime, child labor, terrorism and so much more. If you cannot afford to buy the authentic Chanel, don't buy it. It is better than to be seen using a cheap counterfeit.

Tip: If you are serious about buying an authentic Chanel handbag, do your research and only purchase from authorized sellers. If you want a vintage, it can be tricky as there are also a lot of counterfeits. Some people think because it is vintage, it is authentic but that is not true.

Find out if that model was ever created and if its serial number matches the card and year it was made. Look at the signature CCs, quilting, stitching, hardware, packaging, price, zippers, straps, tags, font size, fabric, etc ♥

A reader asked how my loungewear looked and here is a common outfit I would wear. It consist of a hoodie, yoga pants and flats as I prefer comfort. I am very much a California girl so the only difference in the outfit might be I wear a polo cap or gold flipflops.

I think it is important to look chic while preferring comfort so I normally accessorize with gold and Chanel. Here I am wearing my most expensive pair of Cazal sunglasses which was featured in Vogue during the late 1980s. You can see Beyonce wear it here in her music video if you are interested in that type of stuff ♥
